From CBS News...
AP) A top Iraqi official said Sunday
there was no "conclusive" evidence that Shiite extremists have been
directly supplied with some Iranian arms as alleged by the United
States.
Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said Iraq does not want trouble with any country, "especially Iran."
Al-Dabbagh was commenting on talks this week in Tehran between an
Iraqi delegation and Iranian authorities aimed at halting suspected
Iranian aid to some Shiite militias.
Asked about reports that some rockets made in 2007 or 2008 and
seized in raids against militias were directly supplied by Iran,
al-Dabbagh replied: "There is no conclusive evidence."...
More in the link provided...Of course our military has a different tale to tale....
Mullen would not detail the evidence - which is expected to be unveiled
by military leaders in Iraq as early as next week. But another senior
military official said it will include mortars, rockets, small arms,
roadside bombs and armor-piercing explosives - known as explosively
formed penetrators or EFPs - that troops have discovered in caches in
recent months.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the
evidence has not yet been made public, said that dates on some of the
weapons were well after Tehran signaled late last year that it was
scaling back aid to insurgents.
In addition, the evidence will include information gleaned from
detainees who were reportedly trained by members of Iran's elite Quds
Force, as well as insurgents who received instruction on how to do the
actual training.
Wonder how much of that information was obtained from torturing them? Oh well, a little tiny side note burried in that story....
The latest findings, said Mullen, still do not prove that the highest leadership in the Iranian government has approved the stepped-up aid to insurgents who are killing U.S. and Iraqi forces.
I have said before, If a man buys a gun in the U.S. and goes to mexico and shoots someone, should the Mexican government delare war on the U.S. for supplying a terrorist. That is a flimsy excuse to want to go to war with a country.

A better excuse might be if they held Americans hostage for 444 days.
If they did something like that, then I would say "bombs away."
A VERY flimsy excuse!
AR DON'T give them an ideas!
And with that reasoning, wouldn't all the innocent people we have held for years in Gitmo being tortured make us subjected to potential bombings?
For real, they will use any excuse they can get...LOL.
Oh, my, aint that the truth!
Why do you believe they are innocent..??
Have you ever giving the US military the benefit of the doubt? Or do you always assume that the US military screwed up and jailed innocent people?
"Since the beginning of the War in Afghanistan, 775 detainees have been brought to Guantanamo, approximately 420 of which have been released. As of August 9, 2007, approximately 355 detainees remain. More than a fifth are cleared for release but may have to wait months or years because U.S. officials are finding it increasingly difficult to allocate places to send them, according to officials and defense lawyers. Of the roughly 355 still incarcerated, U.S. officials said they intend to eventually put 60 to 80 on trial and free the rest."

I have seen those figures at more than one spot (we have discussed Wiki before, Ill get you more references if you like, after I get home from work...
). But since only 60-80 are expected to be charged, and over 700 have done time there, I would call that problematic...
Since some of the detainee's homelands do not want these people returned, would you be willing to place several of them in your house for a while?
Until they can get on their feet, get a job..??
Like you say, they are innocent, and you are asking for their release.
Actions speak louder than your words..!!
How many terrorists can you place in your house..??
2, maybe 3..??
Unfortunately my housing is provided currently by my company, and is only single bedroom. However, I do know a nice ranch in Crawford, that is only used for photo-ops to portray the guise of a cowboy. Nice minus the fact that it apparently has a "brush problem" that is beyond the capabilities of the hired help....
