Lou Dobbs has lost it again on his anti-immigration rant. He has recently be busted for falsely claiming that Immigrants are responsible for a large increase in Leprosy in America. But he is all about hating them outsiders so what do you expect. Speaking of false claims by media personalities, Hannity and Quinn had to throw some spin into the ring to, trying to downshift the disastrous results of our national guards being deployed to Iraq instead of being here when disasters strike. But if the spin isn't coming from the media, it will come from the White House. First we have the attempts to weaken the language of the G-8 summits meeting on climate change. Then we find out about quite a few revisions to reports on protections to civilian privacy according to the Washington Post. From that article...The Bush administration made more than 200 revisions to the first report of a civilian board that oversees government protection of personal privacy, including the deletion of a passage on anti-terrorism programs that intelligence officials deemed "potentially problematic" intrusions on civil liberties, according to a draft of the report obtained by The Washington Post. One of the panel's five members, Democrat Lanny J. Davis, resigned in protest Monday over deletions ordered by White House lawyers and aides. The changes came after the congressionally created Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board had unanimously approved the final draft of its first report to lawmakers, renewing an internal debate over the board's independence and investigative power. Wow, there is quite the turnover rate these days from the Administration. The Number two in the Justice department has also resigned. That is four resignations since the Attorney scandal started, before long there will be as many resign as was fired. And more than half of those fired now it would seem were terminated because they were not trying to prosecute democrats hard enough. I would think having a record of 375 cases, 10 involving independents, 67 involving Republicans, and 298 involving Democrats was biased enough when the big scandals have always been the Republicans, but I guess not. Republicans love to go on about voter fraud, but never about the faulty electronic voting machines that I have covered extensively. Oh yea, those are Republican owned and operated, Oh, never mind. But Fox is all over the voting Fraud issue, running a segment which featured only African Americans. Coincidence? Now if Alberto the torture czar Gonzales will just step down things might improve. Or perhaps he doesn't recall how to do that...Remember this..Speaking of Legal systems gone to hell, if at first you can't convict try and try again seems to be the motto of the Pentagon in regards to the detainees in Gitmo. If you saw the post I put up "Must see: Gitmo Guide" you can imagine why this is not a good thing.More stuff as I find it. Peace.
